More Tools to Keep your Scribe Products Up-To-Date

Do you ever need to get answers to questions like "What version of the GP to CRM Template works with which version of the GP Adapter and which version of the CRM adapter, and which version of Scribe Insight works with that combination"? Keeping track of the versions of Insight, Adapters and Templates and understand which versions work together sometimes feels like trying to solve a Sudoku puzzle. It's enough to make your head spin, even for someone like me who is deals with Scribe products and versions on a daily basis. Woe to the consultant or end customer who needs to keep track of this stuff themselves. Thankfully, we've created some additional tools to make it easier to get quick answers to questions such as the one I listed above.

I have previously written about using OpenMind to answer some of these questions (see How to Determine What Goes With What). We have now added more tools to make accessing this information even easier – the Compatibility Matrix in OpenMind: https://openmind.scribesoftware.com/releases/compatibility

For each version of Scribe Insight, the compatibility matrix gives you a list of the adapter and template versions which are compatible to that Insight version.

Additionally, Insight 7.0.2 provide further improvements in the form of a new and improved update service to help you keep abreast of new releases from Scribe.

Get early access to Insight 7.0 with the Steelhead Technical Preview

Steelhead Technical Preview #2, our early access program for Scribe Insight 7.0 and associated adapters, has officially launched and is available to partners and customers. If you missed last week's webcast kicking off the Steelhead Technical Preview, you can watch it at:

Scribe User Conference: Recorded Webcast and Additional Materials

The Scribe User Conference Scheduled for September 23^rd and 24^th in Bedford, NH is approaching the end of early bird ticket sales.  The early bird registration price of $425 will increase to $575 after April 10.

Today the Scribe executive team held a webcast to provide details and answer questions regarding the user conference.  The presentation slides from the webcast are available here.

Recorded Webcast; Scribe Adapter Version 4.0 for Microsoft Dynamics GP

Scribe VP of Development Bob Sturim and Product Manager Tom O'Brien recently held a webcast to demonstrate and discuss the newly released Scribe Adapter for Microsoft Dynamics GP. To view the recording of our recent webcast click here.

The Scribe Adapter version 4.0 for Microsoft Dynamics GP focuses on three major areas:

1. Subscribing to data changes out of Microsoft Dynamics GP: Just as with other Scribe adapters, the latest Scribe Adapter for GP adapter allows users to subscribe to changes from the target system through an easy point‐and‐click user interface. Subscribing to these changes in real‐time allows them to propagate throughout the organization; keeping all of the systems in‐synch with the same data, with little to no custom code.
2. Improving usability: When using Microsoft Dynamics GP as a source or as a target, users will be able to interact with Dynamics GP data by referencing the same fields as they would within the Dynamics GP user interface.
3. More integration points: Users will to be able to make use of new integration points added in eConnect 10.0; specifically the Fixed Asset module's Asset Book item.
