As Scribe grows, so do our employees – Congratulations to Betsy Bilhorn!

Before I take off for a visit to our EMEA office in Den Haag, meeting with Netherlands partners for our CEO Summit, then attending ExtremeCRM in Prague, I wanted to share some important news with our blogging community.

One of the pleasures of my role is to reward the hard work and extraordinary efforts of my team here at Scribe. We've continued to grow at an impressive rate, adding over 900 new customers and almost 100 partners in 2010, yet it's often a slower process to grow our executive team. It's always gratifying to have the opportunity to promote from within when creating new positions, especially executive level positions, and Scribe has been fortunate to have a solid pool of professionals to be a part of its growth.

Earlier this month we announced our promotion of Betsy Bilhorn to Vice President of Marketing and Product Management, and I want to be sure our community also knew of this terrific news. With her online experience and tremendous work with development to bring Scribe Online to life, Betsy was an ideal fit for aligning our heritage and new cloud offerings with an integrated product roadmap and strategic marketing plan.  With the addition of our new PR firm you will notice Scribe’s brand becoming more relevant and visible inside and outside the Dynamics market.

My first post as Scribe’s new CEO

I am thrilled to have this opportunity and really enjoy working with our accomplished team. Scribe is in the midst of a very exciting time in its history. We are growing and profitable in a tough economy; expanding our partner base globally as we increasingly service larger mid-market enterprises. We are doubling our investment in new and existing products and getting ready to launch a cloud based integration service. All of this in the backdrop of an exciting market opportunity, as more companies seek business value by leveraging premise based data and applications with cloud delivered services.

As I moved through the interview process there were a few compelling factors that drove my interest in joining Scribe. First, the team has deep domain expertise in data integration and a positive corporate culture. You can't build a great technology company without smart people who work well together as a team. Second, our business model is built around our channel partners. For most of my career I have either worked as a co-founder for a VAR (Value Added Reseller) or CEO of a SaaS based web conferencing provider that wholesaled its services through channel partners. I am cut from this cloth and committed to building the best channel partner community in the data integration industry. Finally, I'm excited about the opportunity to take our partner channel into the cloud with service offerings that are easy to deploy aimed at harnessing the vast amounts of data that exist on premise with the growing arsenal of cloud services that are hitting the market.
