From time to time I get to do a blog post about a technical topic, an update to our documentation, or a new training course we’re offering. It’s not very often that I get to announce a totally new and exciting offering though! This new service has the potential to change for the positive how you use our products, how you learn about them, and how we interact with each other as a community of users.
With that, I’d like to announce Scribe Inside Track!
The Inside Track is a subscription based service that delivers premium technical content that can help you become more productive at using Scribe. The content in Scribe Inside Track includes use case based videos hosted by Scribe experts, tips and tricks, and other resources that go into more depth than is covered in Scribe documentation and training.
While our training and documentation is typically organized around product features and functions, with the Inside Track, we explore the product in more detail with content organized around user driven use cases. For example, how to convert a time or query based integration to a queue based integration, and how to use the Adapter for Web Services to integrate with SharePoint.
The Inside Track is delivered through cloud based technology that delivers crystal clear instructor-led HD video, downloadable documents, text, and graphics in an easy to use online format. With the Inside Track we put our product experts in front of a video camera, where they can explain the concepts behind use cases and then show you how to apply product features to those use cases. It’s like having a private session with a Scribe expert, and is available to you on demand.
With the Inside Track, the content is organized in an online book format, a vBook, with a table of contents and index that is easy to browse. The content is also searchable, including the videos. We take the time to index the videos so that you can quickly access the point in the video where we are talking about a specific topic. A subscription to the Inside Track allows you to interact with Scribe experts and other users during subscriber-only monthly Web meetings. We’ll announce the topic ahead of time, which gives you the opportunity to watch the video before the meeting and think about the questions you want to ask. The Web meetings are also an opportunity for Scribe users to share information with each other. During the Web meetings we will facilitate discussion about your experiences with the selected use case. The point of the Web meetings is to be more like an interactive panel discussion than a lecture. It is a great opportunity to learn from each other what work best.
A subscription also includes access to the Scribe Inside Track Newsletter, a quarterly email newsletter about technical topics and that highlights the new topics have been added to Inside Track content. It’s a great way for you to stay up to date on what’s new in the Inside Track.
We offer subscriptions for both individuals and for corporations, if you have a number of technical consultants who may want to work off of the same subscription.
