Your friendly neighborhood Product Manager here to give you the latest and greatest in the world of integration with MS CRM 2011. For those who have been with us through previous releases, it should come as no surprise to you that we are in lock-step with the upcoming Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 launch. However I wanted to take this opportunity to provide some details around "The Plan" from Scribe's point of view.
CRM Online and OnPrem: Our CRM 2011 Adapter launch is aligned closely with both the Online and On-Prem releases of Microsoft. For the Online launch, our current CRM Adapter (v4.4) will be compatible with CRM 2011 Online. When CRM 2011 OnPrem is released, we will be releasing a new Scribe adapter (Scribe Adapter for Microsoft CRM 2011) which connects directly to the new CRM 2011 end point and benefits from all the new features and enhancements.
One install; Two adapters: We asked and you answered. As we looked in to the new CRM 2011 end point, we discussed upgrade and maintainability scenarios with many of you. From that feedback, we decided to create an adapter that focuses on the CRM 2011 end point; with minimal legacy fields and features specific to previous versions of CRM. To that end, there will be one install which will lay down 2 different adapters. You will be able to easily upgrade from our CRM 4.4 Adapter to the new CRM 2011 Adapter; upgrading one DTS file at a time or many DTS files in bulk.
AX, GP and NAV: We know that many of you rely on our ERP to CRM templates. We will be upgrading our 3 key ERP Templates (AX to CRM; GP to CRM and NAV to CRM) in this timeframe as well. While early indicators are that both the template and adapters work successuflly with CRM 2011, we are going to release upgrades to each of these to make use of the Multi-Target functionality released as part of Scribe Insight 7.0 and to connect to the CRM 2011 end point by default as well. These templates will released on the heels of the Scribe CRM 2011 Adapter release, with each one releasing approximately a week and a half after the previous.
As you can see, we are covering the bases when it comes to our traditional CRM offerings. We'd love to hear from you if there's something you would like to see added, just reply or visit OpenMind.
