Several months back I created a screencast entitled "A Real Life Web Services Adapter Example" that showed how Scribe Insights makes it easy for you to build out business functionality. In that screencast I started from scratch and in less than 5 minutes built out an integration that called out to a third party web service provided by StrikeIron to retrieve currency exchange rates, and updated my application with those values.
Now we are on the cusp of the Insight 7 release. Again I wanted to give a real life example of building an integration from scratch, this time taking advantage of capabilities that Scribe Insight 7 provides to show how you can use Insight to correct and enrich your data. In about 10 minutes I show you how you can use an address verification web service to improve data quality in your CRM application. For this exercise I again used a web service provided by StrikeIron.
Alternatively, if you prefer, you can download the video file.
While this example focuses on address correction, you can easily extrapolate how you could use Scribe Insight with any number of web services to enrich your data in a number of ways -- checking credit ratings, looking up a DUNS number, validating an email address, or whatever you need to do.
As always, I welcome your feedback.
