Scribe is pleased to announce availability of the Scribe Insight Tutorials guide for a migration scenario.
We wrote the guide as a tool to help people who are evaluating the software, and who have little or no experience with it. Partners can use this as a resource with potential customers who are evaluating the product, or to assist with their first migration project.
By following the steps in the guide, the reader will learn how to navigate the user interface of the Workbench and how to use the basic features of connecting to source and target, configuring steps, using lookups to match data, and reformatting data. By following the steps in the guide, they will complete a migration of lead data from a text file to populate accounts and associated contacts in the target SQL Server database.
We were aiming for it to be a simple process for the user to get started with this tutorial; therefore the tutorial uses the sample text files that are already installed with every Insight installation, as well as the "SCRIBESAMPLE" SQL Server database that is an optional installation with Insight. Other than the basic Insight installation, there's nothing else to do or to download to get ready to use the tutorial guide.
Download the guide and check it out. Who knows? Even the Scribe experts out there might find a useful tidbit in the guide.
